Write Well University started, as many things do, as a spontaneous idea seemingly out of nothing. For several years, Dawn Goldberg had been helping clients in her virtual assistance practice to present themselves and their businesses successfully to the world. Dawn wrote, edited, tested, and proofread thousands of words, from emails to marketing campaigns. In addition, as Chief Operating Officer of AssistU, Dawn saw firsthand the struggles people had communicating their needs to others.

That spontaneous idea started out as "Wouldn't it be wonderful if I could help people overcome their problems in writing, as well as lack of confidence, in order to become stronger writers?"

We decided it would be wonderful.

And so the idea of Write Well University was born.

In 2006, the first Writing Essentials Program was delivered, and another full class soon followed. By and by, we created additional programs and services to help individuals improve their writing skills. With programs, coaching, and Writing Circles, Write Well University participants are supported in every facet of writing, including basic grammar and mechanics, style, and the accountability that keeps them writing.

Words are our business, and our passion is helping others use them well.
